PLEASE FOLLOW THE FOLLOWING STEPS TO PARTICIPATE IN SWIM TEAM
1. Review important team information:
2. Register your swimmers online via Google form: Swim Team Registration Form
3. Sign up for your required volunteer slots now:
Parent volunteers are an integral part of a successful swim team! Without volunteers our swim team would be unable to function. Plus, working the meets makes them fly by! We are using Sign-Up to fill volunteer positions. The entire season is included by date. Volunteer spots are in alphabetical order with the first half/shifts first. The requirement is 3 sessions per swimmer and a maximum of 5, for any additional swimmers. A session is defined as 1/2 meet.
4. Sign swimmers up for meets: Swimmer Participation 2019
We are also using Sign-Up for Swim Meet Participation. The entire season is included by meet date, so you can sign up for each meet your swimmers will attend. This is SO important for the coaches to have as they enter swimmers in events for meets. There will be cut off dates and times for you to enter your swimmers so we have sufficient time to prepare the paperwork for the meet.
5. Register your cell phone number for Remind texts: Remind
(class code is @g928dbc) This is the same Remind group as prior years. If you have received these texts in the past you do not need to do this again. This is a great way to receive late-breaking info such as practice and meet cancellations/changes and reminders.
6. Visit us at the swim suit fitting and info session on April 7!
The links are to provide PHOTOS ONLY - do not order your suit from TYR! (It will be more expensive!). If you would like to purchase a team suit, we have scheduled a suit fitting and purchase event at the Mountainbrook Pool/Tennis shelter. Carolina Swim Shop will be there from 1-3 pm to assist you with your suit fittings and purchases. Girls' suits are $55 and boys' suits are $38/jammer and $32/brief (plus sales tax). ** Please note that the swim shop takes credit cards only (VISA, MasterCard, or Discover).
If you are unable to attend the suit fitting event, please visit the Carolina Swim Shop near Charlotte Latin School (9850 Providence Road, inside the SwimMAC Carolina building) anytime after April 7 to get your suit. Make sure to indicate you're purchasing a Mountainbrook team suit to get the discounted price. The sooner the better to ensure your size is available.
Swim Caps - A latex swim cap is included in the price of your swim team registration and will be distributed by the first swim meet. It is suggested you write your name inside the cap! Replacement caps will be available for purchase at the snack bar.
Swim team practice begins the week of Monday, May 13!!

Swim Team Coach & Staff
My name is Alyssa Mulhall and I am so excited to be joining the Mountainbook Wild Things!
I am from Charlotte. I attended Charlotte Catholic High School and Appalachian State University where I studied Elementary Education. I am currently a 5th grade teacher at Greenway Park Elementary in Charlotte.
I swam for Charlotte Catholic, MAC, and NOMAD from the ages of 6-18. During college I swam two years club.
I began coaching for my own neighborhood team during high school. My coaching career led me to become the Varsity Coach for Central Cabarrus High School and the Head Coach for Providence Country Club.
Swimming and coaching are one of my greatest passions in life. I love to be around any sort of body of water and love seeing children begin to feel comfortable and confident in the water. I believe the success to any swimmer is to feel safe and learn great technique as well as having fun!
I cannot wait for the 2020 season to begin and to meet you and all of your children!
Let’s GO WILD THINGS!
