Court reservations are expected.  If you do not make a reservation, you must take your membership cards with you to prove you are a member.  We will ask to see your membership card.

Walk-ups do not have any court time privileges so be sure to reserve your court online before you play.

The rules for reserving a court are as follows:

  • Make your reservations for dates two weeks from today.
  • Any reservation that conflicts with a club event or league play is subject to cancellation and you will be notified ASAP.
  • The member that reserves the court must be one of the players.
  • If you book a lesson, our pro should book the time so you won't have to.
  • You are only allowed to book 2 courts for one session on any day.
  • Reservations must be limited to 2 hours max amd we do not allow consecutive reservations for the same member.
  • We reserve the right to limit reservations to any one member.
  • Cancellations and No Shows
    • If you cannot make your reservation time, please cancel your reservation so others may book the time.
    • Too many no shows may result in your loss/suspension of reservation privileges
  • Ball machine reservations
    • You must be a ball machine member to reserve the ball machine.
    • It is best to use court 2 with the ball machine when possible.
    • If someone has reserved court 2 and there are open courts, it is common place to ask them to move courts during a break so you can use court 2 with the machine.  See notes about team matches.
  • We reserve the right to update these rules as needed to ensure the best court allocations for our tennis program and membership.

League/Match Notes

League and match play is an important part of the club.  Here are some items to consider when playing beside a league/match. We have a variety of USTA/competitive teams that play out of Mountainbrook.

Specific Courts: If you are playing at a scheduled time for a league, the team captain has the right to change courts based on conditions or team member preferences.  We will do our best to schedule the correct courts but we will never be 100% in this.  Please understand this if a team asks you to switch courts during a change over.

Ball machine or practice with a ball basket: If a league team is playing, the ball machine or basket practice should not be used beside a team match.  Try and move the ball machine or wait for the match to end when possible.  Helps us maintain a fun league environment.
